The Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation is for real estate buyer agents who focus on working directly with buyer-clients at every stage of the home-buying process. Designations indicate that you have experience in certain fields, and may help you gain clients that are looking for expert REALTORS to help guide them through the process of Real Estate.

 

The process to getting your ABR Designation:

  1. Complete the two-day core designation course HERE. For the online course only, pass the ABR® core designation exam with an 80% or better score
  2. Complete one of the ABR® elective courses HERE. Pass the exam for the ABR® elective of your choice with an 80% or better score.
  3. Submit the designation application along with documentation of five completed transactions to NAR
  4. Documentation of five completed transactions in which you acted solely as a buyer representative
  5. Membership of REBAC ($110 annually).
  6. Membership with NAR (If you are a REALTOR®, you are a member of NAR already)..
  7. Submit the designation application along with documentation of five completed transactions to NAR.

Cost

  • Cost of courses (eg. SRES class costs $150 for members of COAR).
  • REBAC Dues ($110 annually/first year is free).
